01 / The brief
Introduce the product.
Keep the people in view.
Rhem has several jobs to explain: health updates, prescription support, calls, reminders and everyday questions. A launch film needed to make those interactions understandable while also showing why a family would want the product in the first place.
We built the edit around two perspectives: a mother who wants to handle things herself, and a daughter who cares about how she is doing. Interviews and FaceTime exchanges connect the demonstrations, so the features belong to the same family story.
02 / On set
Room for the conversation.
The home setting brings interviews and product scenes into one visual world. Two camera angles give the editor choices within a conversation, while close-up coverage shows hands, screens and small actions clearly. These production photos show the lighting, cameras and overhead sound around Donna’s interview.

03 / The edit
A feature, an action, a reason.
The opening establishes Rhem before moving into the interviews. From there, the cut pairs each feature with a visible action: a finger on the health sensor, an update on the daughter’s phone, a call through Rhem and a conversation in the kitchen.
Audio bridges let a thought begin before its speaker appears. Quick product details and cooking inserts create changes of pace, while longer expressions and the final embrace give the relationship space. The goal is a product launch with a conversational rhythm.

04 / Finishing
Make the UI belong to the scene.
Rhem’s supplied interface was composited into the photographed robot screens, including the call footage and speaking states. Each shot needed its own perspective, timing and edge treatment. Floating phone notifications also had to follow the scene, with foreground phone and finger details passing in front of them where appropriate.
A warm, vivid grade, film grain and restrained light effects bring the shots together. Dialogue cleanup, music, film accents and cooking sounds shape the rhythm. Titles and subtitles complete the main film; a separate website cut keeps the product screens and notifications while removing those text layers.
05 / The launch
One film. Assets for the launch around it.
The delivery included the finished 4K film, a lighter 1080p version, a title-free website background cut and 4K stills. The launch film was featured in Y Combinator’s Rhem Labs announcement.
